Technical Support for the PNA Group in Region Östergötland

Do you want to help ensure quality-assured patient-centered diagnostics throughout Östergötland? We are now looking for a technical support member for our PNA group that works with support, training, and follow-up of patient-centered diagnostics at healthcare centers, wards, and clinics in the region.

Our Offer

Patient-centered laboratory medicine (PNL) is one of the specialties within Laboratory Medicine in Region Östergötland. We run a well-developed operation characterized by responsibility, trust, and participation. We are present at most healthcare centers in Östergötland as well as at the sampling units at the University Hospital and Vrinnevisjukhuset. Currently, about 100 employees work within PNL, most of whom are biomedical analysts or hospital biologists. We also have medical technical assistants, nursing assistants, and laboratory engineers in our team.

Our PNA group works with quality-assured patient-centered diagnostics and offers a tailored range for laboratory operations at healthcare centers, within hospital care, as well as for home care and municipalities.

We are now looking for a technical support member for our PNA group. As technical support, you will be an important link between diagnostics and healthcare. You will work in a dynamic environment where your skills in both technology and diagnostics will be utilized. We offer:

Job Description

As technical support in the PNA group, you will have a central role in ensuring quality and functionality in patient-centered diagnostics. Your main tasks include:

  • Driving the operational management of our middleware
  • Providing technical support to healthcare personnel regarding permissions, troubleshooting, handling instruments, and control management
  • Customer visits based on needs and requests to solve problems and provide on-site support
  • Contributing to training and continuing education of healthcare personnel regarding the handling of analysis instruments, pre-analysis, and quality assurance
  • Participating in central procurements of new instruments and systems
  • Contributing to quality assurance work regarding patient-centered analyses
  • Actively participating in the PNA team and contributing to the development of the operation
  • Working clinically in the operation at healthcare center laboratories

The placement is at the University Hospital in Linköping, but assignments throughout the region may occur.

Work Group

The PNA group consists of a coordinator, two laboratory instructors, and a technical support member. As a newly hired technical support member, you will be an important part of this cohesive team. The group collaborates closely with other support functions within Laboratory Medicine such as technical and method support as well as IT. This creates a dynamic work environment where knowledge exchange and joint problem-solving are part of everyday life.

Organizationally, the PNA group belongs to Patient-centered laboratory medicine and works across the region to ensure high quality in patient-centered analyses throughout Region Östergötland.

About You

You are a licensed Biomedical Analyst or have a university degree in medical biology or equivalent.

You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, so that you can communicate confidently with customers, collaborate with colleagues, and manage documentation. A B driver's license is required.

As a person, you are service-oriented and enjoy meeting and supporting healthcare personnel in their daily work. You are proactive and self-driven, able to advance your tasks independently while valuing collaboration with colleagues in the team. You work in a structured manner and are quality-conscious in everything you do, which is crucial for patient safety and reliable diagnostics. Your ability to prioritize and see the big picture allows you to handle varying tasks and quickly adapt when needs arise.

We work closely together and need good communication to successfully solve the tasks we encounter in our daily work. Therefore, the position suits you if you thrive on collaboration and are responsive and communicative towards both colleagues and customers.
